Zayn

Zayn is a globally recognized artist who first rose to fame with One Direction, one of the best-selling boy bands of all time, before making history as a solo artist, since becoming the first British male artist to debut at No. 1 in both the UK and US. 

The Goal

Zayn aimed to maximize ticket sales and fan engagement for his Stairway to the Sky Tour with a phased rollout. Between November 2024 and early 2025, he unveiled new tour dates in stages, ensuring each wave sold out before announcing the next.

The Play

Zayn embedded the Bandsintown Widget on his website to display his tour dates, allowing fans to RSVP for early ticket access to new shows and join the waitlist for sold-out dates. 
Fans who opted in received email alerts when new dates or tickets became available. To prevent scalping, Bandsintown securely distributed thousands of unique access codes.

The Results

Over 70,000 fans opted in to Zayn's email list by RSVPing or joining the waitlist. When tickets dropped, 100,000 Fan Email Alerts fueled demand, driving more than 400,000 ticket clicks. All of Zayn's tour dates sold out.

This phased approach proved that collecting fans’ contact info as early as possible with the Bandsintown Widget embedded on your website creates an eager audience ready to buy when tickets drop. Being able to directly communicate with your growing fan base about presales and newly added shows is a highly effective way to generate buzz and drive sales.
