The Goal

Duran Duran announced a new tour with 26 North American dates alongside Bastille, Nile Rodgers & Chic. The goal was to maximize ticket sales and collect first party fan data for future marketing.

The Play

Duran Duran customized and installed the Widget on their website in the spring of 2022 in the middle of their previous tour, and let the Widget organically start collecting data from site visitors.

In February 2023, the band announced their new tour on socials and directed fans to their website, where the Widget was still installed.

The Results

In the first year the Widget was installed on the band’s website, more than 13,000 fans opted in to share their emails. In the two weeks following the announcement of the new tour in 2023, an additional 15,000 fans opted in to share their emails, more than doubling the band’s data pool.
